Financial & Ecological Change
We basically want to build an interactive web-site for the exchange of financial and ecological ideas and knowledge amongst the general public and different financial players in a totally transparent and non biased way. Our ultimate aim is to help society realise that finance and ecology are essential elements to business for good, reaching the poorest of the poor and eliminating extreme poverty.
Yesterday, I heard once again that digital currency, specifically Bitcoin, can provide a way of transferring funds from one party to another with virtually no transfer or exchange costs.
I currently work, on a personal basis, with a charity for Nepal. We are small and do not have any administrative costs that are not consumed by our members except for the cost of transferring funds that are raised to, for example, the school that we support both by physical presence and financial donations. Clearly if we can eliminate this cost we will be in the unique position of being able to deliver almost 100% of funds that are raised.
I am therefore keen to know how such arrangements could be made either now or in the future and would much appreciate your assistance.
I understand that BCEE in Luxembourg can handle Bitcoin and would like to know who to contact there. It seems to me that there is an exchange risk at the receiving end when the Nepalese body wants to convert to local currency in order to spend the funds. Could you explain how this could be dealt with?
