Luxembourg Start-Up Launched to Promote a Socio-Economic Conscience. Chronicle.lu published the following press release:
On Tuesday evening 2 February 2016, the new Luxembourg start-up MFTSE Affairs SA launched at Nyuko in Luxembourg-Hollerich, the co-working space for entrepreneurs and acting as a business incubator across the Grand Duchy.
Founder and visionary Clive Munn introduced the company's aim, to provide a socio-economic conscience by creating awareness of finance and ecological issues to as wide an audience as possible.
The attendees were shown the organisation's first video, a 4-minute overview of the issues facing mankind, helping one another to live better lives, promoting a concept of Winning by Sharing. Using close collaboration to promote the aims, the organisation aims to spread its message by exchanging ideas and information to a wide audience.
The FEM website (http://www.finance-eco-money.org) is the organisation's first product and has three aims:
- Help Reduce Extreme World Poverty - Try To Ensure Everyone Understands & Has Appropriate Access To Funding (Money)
- Help Improve and Preserve Our Environment For Our Children & Our Children's Children
- Share More & Reduce Greed
Clive Munn talked about creating change, not by demonstrating in the street, but by making a difference using social networking and communicating by various means. He also emphasised the concept of trying to help one another. He referred to the 2008 crisis and talked about how we address greed, with the FEM website offering a detailed insight .
On the financial side, he said it is very important for them to improve people's financial literacy which will help them achieve some of their socio-economic ideas. He wants the FEM website to focus on POSITIVE news - most of the news nowadays is of stories of war and other negative issues.
He said that the aim is to change mindsets, to be achieved by sharing knowledge, by talking and publishing articles, etc. He advocates complete transparency which should go some way to get over the problems from the time of the financial crisis. He said that he hopes that taking part in, and boosting, social enterprise will become much more widespread in the future.
Apart from the FEM online information source unveiled and demonstrated during the event, the company also provides consultancy and training services.
After the formal part of the evening was over, those attending networked over a walking dinner.
